The students are busy working hard and collecting their effort stamps in lessons. I am delighted to let you know, that ten Year 7 students have achieved 30 stickers for their effort in lessons and will be joining me for breakfast on Tuesday. They are: Julie R, Amna M, Ruari L, Kai D, Eden A, Aser I, Alfie H, Arthur W, Julia M and Ella S-W. Year 8 are also doing well and I have awarded 5 silver badges. We are planning our deep learning day for Thursday 9th December: Year 7 and 8 are going to the theatre, Year 9 will be participating in a Careers Day and Year 10 will be doing some GCSE practical experiments in Science.
It has been good to see you back in the academy for parents’ evenings and it is the turn of Year 10 this week. If you have any difficulties making appointments using the online system, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s house tutor so we can help you resolve it. These meetings are important and help support the progress of your child.
Covid cases are rising in the local area and at the moment we are not affected. Please can I encourage you to supervise your child doing a lateral flow test every Wednesday and Sunday so we can minimise the opportunity of it coming into the academy. We have many different events planned for the end of term and we want to do everything that we can to ensure they all happen.
As ever, thank you for all your support and have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Larizadeh
