Introduction
At Harris Academy Wimbledon we know that it is important to prepare students for their exams. Here you will find important and useful information that will support students at the Academy with their revision.
Ofqual has provided general guidance for GCSE and A Level exams which can be found here.
This guide provides you with information about this year’s arrangements for qualifications regulated by Ofqual. It also explains what support is in place when taking exams and assessments. If you have any questions about the contents of this guide, please speak to the Exams Officer.
Year 11 GCSE Mock Exams 2024/2025
Y11 Assessments 1: 25th November - 6th December 2024
Y11 Assessments 2: 20th - 31st January 2025
Exams equipment
Students must make sure they are properly equipped for every exam. You should bring two black ball-pens, a pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler and any other writing or Mathematics equipment (calculator, compass, protractor) needed to your exams. Check with your teacher if you think you will need any specialist equipment.
Year 7-10 Exam Dates 2024/2025
Y8 and Y10 Assessment 1: 18th- 22nd November 2024
Y7 and Y9 Assessment 1: 13th -17th January 2025
Y7-Y10 Assessment 2: 19th- 23rd May 2025
GCSE Study Skills Workshop 1
There are specific techniques that will help students remember knowledge in the long term. This study skills workbook and accompanying video have been shared with students, and can be revisited again and again over the course of Year 10 and 11.

GCSE Study Skills Workshop 2
There are specific techniques that will help students succeed in their GCSEs. This study skills workbook and accompanying presentation (the second in our series) has been shared with students, and can be revisited again and again over the course of Year 10 and 11. In this workshop we focus on the importance of setting goals for the future, the dangers of multitasking, and the need to use revision techniques that make you think deeply about course content.
