Ofsted Reports
Our first Ofsted inspection judges us ‘Outstanding’ in every single category.
When Harris Academy Wimbledon opened in September 2018, we said we wanted to create a happy, successful academy with drive and ambition.
We are therefore absolutely thrilled to share the result of our first Ofsted inspection, which found us to be ‘Outstanding’ overall and in each of the specific categories they look at, ranging from the quality of education provided to the personal development and behaviour of our pupils.
The report is a credit to our students, staff, families and governors, and to the Harris Federation. You can read it in full here but here are some highlights:
On what it is like to attend Harris Academy Wimbledon:
- “Pupils are happy in school. They enjoy their learning immensely.”
- “Pupils at this school are encouraged to make a difference to their own lives and those of others.”
- The Academy provides “an exceptional and aspirational curriculum.”
- “The provision for pupils’ personal development is exemplary.”
On our dedicated team of staff:
- “Teachers are experts in their subjects, and they explain new ideas and concepts clearly.”
- “Leaders have created an inclusive community where all pupils feel valued.”
- “Pupils were keen to tell inspectors that bullying is not tolerated here. Teachers deal with any concerns swiftly, and as a result bullying rarely happens.”
On the behaviour and characteristics of our pupils:
- “Pupils are well mannered and respectful to each other and to staff.”
- “Their attitude to learning is exceptional.”
