Newsletter 15/12/2023
This is the last newsletter of the Autumn Term and as we enter the last week, it will be full of festive experiences: The Winter Celebration, Christmas Lunch, Festive Christmas jumper day, Secret Santa and our annual decorate the door competition. I have been delighted with the amazing contributions students have made throughout the term including Year 10s supporting Year 7s with their reading, everyone getting involved with House competitions, visits to the theatre and London museums, Year 11 trip to Box Hill, Year 12s leading the way and being excellent role models, a fantastic Cultural Evening, the brilliant house trips, representing the academy in many different sports fixtures and much more! I would like to thank the staff who always go above and beyond to provide all these fantastic opportunities.
Students have also done a lot of work as well! Particular congratulations to Year 11 who have just finished a week of mock exams (just 2.5 more days to go!). They should enjoy a well-deserved rest for most of the holiday but pick their books back up a few days before we return. As ever, I am very grateful for all your support for the academy and wish you happiness over the holidays. Until then, we have three and a half school days to go and it is important that students attend every day until the end of the school term.
Best wishes, Mrs Larizadeh
