Our theme this week has been leadership. HAWI6 students are busy making their applications for Head student and Senior Prefect roles and each house has elected their House Leader.
We are very proud of our House Leaders, who were all elected by their tutor groups. They have a really important role in making sure the views and ideas of students are heard. Student Council, which meets once a half term, is the place where these views and ideas are heard, and the House Leaders are key to making sure everyone’s ideas get heard there. Note these names – they are our future leaders!
We have a busy run up to half term, with our first deep learning days of the year and HAWI6 open evening for 2024. Please see further information in the Newsletter.
There was a great buzz in the hall today as the houses competed with each other to bake and sell the most cakes for Macmillan Coffee Morning. I am so proud of the school community for ‘making a difference’ to the lives of people around us, by giving up their time and making contributions to a very important charity.
Best wishes for an enjoyable weekend,
Mrs Larizadeh
