The Y13 Biology had an amazing time at the FSC Juniper Hall Ecology Trip. Newsletter 08/09/23

Welcome to another school year! The year has started very well with an excellent set of GCSE results; we are so proud of the Year 11 pupils who outperformed their target grades despite the significant interruption to their education through Covid. We are equally delighted to welcome so many of them back to HAWI6 - our brand new 6th form provision.

It is a delight to welcome all our new families to the HAWI Community and we look forward to meeting you during the course of the year. There are two very important evenings in September: Year 12 Information Evening for parents on Thursday 14th September and a Year 7 Curriculum Evening on Thursday 28th September both at 6.30pm. Please save the dates and staff will be in touch with further information.

I am very much looking forward to another brilliant year and as ever the staff have been planning many wonderful opportunities for the students. In assembly this week, I shared a quote from the Lionesses’ goal keeper, Mary Earps from when she collected her trophy for the best FIFA goalkeeper’s award: ‘Keep going, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. There’s only one of you in the world, and that’s more than enough. Be unapologetically yourself.’ We look forward to celebrating the individuality of every student during this new year.
