Enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities are a really important part of HAWI. Our aim is to help students find their passion whether it is in sport, the arts, STEM, languages or taking on a role of responsibility. The deep learning days this week have been particularly varied and exciting - Year 7 have visited the Natural History Museum, Year 8 have worked with a Nigerian rap artist and Year 9 explored the Science Museum. Year 10 have immersed themselves in careers and started writing their first CV, while Year 11 have been consolidating their understanding for their GCSEs. I would like to take a moment to recognise the enormous effort the Year 11s are putting into their studies; they are our pioneering students and we are very proud of them.
Overall this term has been jam packed with opportunities such as theatre visits, sports events, cyber competitions, charity days, author visits and much more! Students flourish and grow everyday as they continue to develop their independence, integrity and resilience and make a difference in the academy and wider community.
Thank you for all your support this term.
Best wishes, Mrs Larizadeh
