It has been a busy few weeks for team work and sport at HAWI.
Congratulations to the netball teams who are having a great season so far. Years 10/11 came third in the recent borough tournament, Year 9 won their match this week and Years 7/8 are playing well together as they compete in their first few games of the season. Team work is really important and touches all parts of school life – from working together in lessons to competing in sporting events to rehearsing
together for the school production.
Team work will also be important in some of the traditions that we have established at the end of every Autumn Term.
· Houses in Year 7 and 8 can enter the Decorate The Door
Competition.
· Festive jumper and lunch day: Thursday 15th December. Lunch will be provided for all students free of charge. We will be raising money for Save the Children if you are able to make a donation.
· Secret Santa for each House. Students will be given a name of someone in their house group and can bring in a gift up to the
value of £2. These will be given out in the house festive parties on Friday 16th December.
The annual book fair has also been a great success and thank you to Ms Angely, our school librarian for organising it.
Good luck to Year 11 for their mock exams - we are all very proud of how hard they are working.
I hope you have a great weekend, Mrs Larizadeh
