I have really enjoyed watching the Year 7 tutor group assemblies this week - 7 Butler created a well-researched assembly on ‘Tenacity’ and 7 Dowding presented a confident performance around the theme of ‘Humility’. Since September, Year 7 have grown in confidence and are participating fully across the academy by making excellent progress in their lessons and enjoying all the opportunities on offer at secondary school. Year 8 had an excellent parents’ evening last night and I am particularly impressed with how they are being excellent role models to the younger student in Lower School - well done!
Year 9 are beginning to think about their GCSE subject choices and Year 10 are coming to the end of their first term of GCSEs - time seems to be going so fast. Year 11 have their heads buried in their books preparing for their mock exams which start in less than a week - they should be revising over the weekend!
We are looking forward to the book fair next week, the deep learning day the week after, and in the final week of term, the Winter
Celebration.
Best wishes for an enjoyable weekend,
Mrs Larizadeh
