Our student survey has shown that the heritage of our community stretches across 95 different countries from around the world and it has been wonderful to see so many students represent their heritage in their dress today.  The student leadership team have done a brilliant job in organising the day and we are really proud of everyone entering into the community spirit.  We are creating a permanent display of flags in the dining hall to represent the HAWI Community Heritage Project 2022.  In true HAWI style, we are packing in a lot into these last two weeks of term.  We have the formal opening of the academy by Lord and Lady Harris on Thursday followed by the whole school sports day on Friday.  Please read all of the information in the newsletter which outlines what your children need to bring.  The event contributes to House Points so students can wear their house colours and cheer for the students in their house.  In between all the events, the students continue to work hard in lessons – there is still a lot to learn!
