The whole school community came together yesterday for our Remembrance Day service.  It was a moving ceremony which honoured the memory of those who have lost their lives and a time where we reflected on how important kindness is in the community.  Special thanks to Miss Hofmeyer who led the ceremony, Leo who played The Last Post, Edward who read In Flanders Fields and Weronika and Monika who sang The Green Fields of France accompanied by Mr Wood.

Next week is Anti Bullying week and our theme is One Kind Word.  I am delighted that we have developed a culture of kindness at HAWI and next week will be an opportunity to celebrate different individual acts of kindness.  Mr James has provided more information in the newsletter but it would be good to see all students wearing odd socks on Friday to show their support for diversity.

The WPA will be holding their AGM on Thursday which will be combined with a drinks reception for Year 7 and 8 parents.  It would be lovely to see you there and there is a link in the newsletter for booking a ticket so we know how many people to expect.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Larizadeh
