Year 9 students led a fantastic day of fundraising for their chosen charities as part of the First Give Initiative. Students from the different tutor groups organised a plethora of activities, including a bake sale, karaoke, penalty shoot out, crossbar challenge, guess the sweets in the jar, scavenger hunt and even water ballooning teachers to raise money! It was extremely impressive to see how year 9 students took responsibility for their own organisation of fundraising, demonstrating a great deal of independence. Alongside raising money for some wonderful charities, their social action will also count towards their Bronze DofE Volunteering section, making the day even more worthwhile.
